Topic: BBQ Party

Dialogue 1

Jane: Hey, Tom! How’s the barbecue coming along?
Tom: It’s looking good. Do you want to help me with the grill?
Jane: Sure!
Tom: So, what do you like? Burgers or hot dogs?
Jane: Hmm, I think I’ll go for a burger.
Tom: You got it. And how about some pork ribs?
Jane: That sounds amazing. Thanks, Tom.
Tom: No problem. Let me just finish up this chicken. Can you set the table?
Jane: Of course. Where are the plates and cutlery?
Tom: In that basket over there. And can you grab the drinks from the cooler?
Jane: Got it. Coke, Sprite, beer…What else?
Tom: We’ve got some lemonade and iced tea as well. And I think we’re all out of potato salad.
Jane: Should I run to the store and get some more?
Tom: That would be great. Thanks, Jane.
Jane: No worries. Is anyone else bringing something to share?
Tom: Yeah, my sister is bringing a fruit platter, and my cousin said she’d bring chips and dip.
Jane: Perfect. This looks like it’s going to be a great party.

Dialogue 2

Alice: Hi, everyone! Welcome to our barbecue party!
Ben: Hey Alice, thanks for having us. The grill looks great!
Alice: Thanks, Ben. We’ve got burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and ribs.
Karen: Mmm, I can’t decide what to try first! Everything smells delicious.
Alice: Help yourselves, guys. Let’s sit over at the table with our drinks.
Mike: This is an excellent spot for the party, Alice. You have such a lovely backyard.
Alice: Thank you, Mike. We love hosting barbecues in the summer.
Lisa: Who else did you invite?
Alice: Just some friends from work, family members, and neighbors.
Ryan: Speaking of work, how’s your new job going, Karen?
Karen: It’s good so far, Ryan. Been busy learning everything.
Ben: So, Alice, have you tried any new barbecue sauces or marinades lately?
Alice: Actually, yes! I found this fantastic Korean BBQ sauce recipe I tried on beef skewers online last weekend.
Lisa: That sounds awesome. Can we get the recipe?
Alice: Sure! I’ll send it to you later.
Mike: Hey, look who’s here! It’s Jack and his family.
Alice: Oh, great! They made it, after all. Time to fire up the grill again!
