How to Speak Better English (Article 13)

Do you want to speak English fluently?

If so, then you must be able to speak it correctly in the right circumstances. To help you achieve this, I’ve come up with 7 simple steps to follow when speaking English.

By following these steps, you’ll be speaking English confidently in no time!

STEP 1: Find your Target Audience

Before you begin, you need to decide what your audience is. It can be any type of audience, including business people, politicians or even people who speak a different language.

So, once you’ve decided on your target audience, you must find out who they are. What do they care about? What are they interested in?

Once you know that, you can use that knowledge to guide your speech. For example, if your audience likes sports, then you might want to talk about football or basketball.

STEP 2: Choose Your Words Carefully

Your first step should be to make sure that you choose your words carefully. For example, if you want to talk about a car, you should choose the word “car”. If you want to talk about a car manufacturer, then you should choose the word “manufacturer”.

You’ll notice that I chose “car” in the previous example. This is because the car is a noun. A noun is a word that names something, so it can be used as an object.

If you were talking about the automobile industry, then you would use the word “industry”, not “car”.

STEP 3: Make sure Your Words Mean Something

The next thing to think about is what your words mean. For example, if you’re talking about a car, you should say “I bought a car today”, but if you’re talking about the car manufacturer, then you should say “I bought a car from the manufacturer”.

This will help you keep things straight and make sure that you’re saying the right thing at the right time.

STEP 4: Don’t Let Yourself Get Stuck in Your Head

You may get stuck in your head while speaking English. I know that I do! It’s very easy to get so focused on how you’re saying something that you forget what you’re actually saying.

To avoid this, try repeating what you want to say back to yourself as many times as you need to remember it. This way, you’ll be able to focus on what you’re actually saying and not get stuck in your own head.

STEP 5: Make Sure You Speak Clearly

The last thing to think about is how you speak. If you want to sound confident, then you must speak clearly and in a natural way.

For example, if you want to talk about the weather, then you should use the word “it” instead of “the”. You should also avoid using long words because they’re difficult to understand.

You can also use simple words to make sure that your speech is clear. For example, you could use the word “day” instead of “weather”.

STEP 6: Practice Makes Perfect

If you want to become fluent in English, then you must practice speaking it. This doesn’t just mean speaking English for fun, it means speaking it in situations where it’s important.

There are two types of practice:

Practice Speaking English – You should be speaking English in all situations. This will help you learn how to speak English and how to sound natural.

Practice Listening – You should be listening to English speakers around you and imitating what you hear. This will help you learn how to understand and speak English.

STEP 7: Be Confident!

Finally, the last thing to think about is being confident. If you want to talk in a confident way, then you must believe that you can do it.

This is true whether you’re talking about a business or speaking in general. If you want to get good at something, then you must believe that you can do it.
