How to Speak Better English (Article 1)

1. Introduction

There are plenty of resources out there to help with speaking English. However, sometimes the most valuable tools are those that you have in your own mind. Here are five ways I’ve personally found to be useful.

2. Learn from Others

The best way to learn a language is to watch and listen to other people. The best way to do this is by joining a study group or attending a language class. It doesn’t matter what level of proficiency you’re at. The more exposure you have, the more you can absorb.

3. Listen to Your Body Language

Many people don’t realize that their body language can speak volumes about how they feel about a situation. If you find yourself fidgeting, getting upset, or having difficulty concentrating, it’s probably because you don’t like what’s happening. Pay attention to your body and make changes as necessary.

4. Practice, Practice, Practice

If you want to get good at speaking English, you have to practice. There are two types of practice: In-Person Practice: In person practice occurs when you interact with someone who speaks English. This type of practice is often difficult to do in real life, but it can still be useful. Online Practice: Online practice is done online by interacting with other people on social media. It can be difficult to tell if the people you’re communicating with understand English or not. It’s also important to be careful about whom you’re talking to because some people will try to abuse the system and use it as a means of getting something for free.

5. Understand the Difference Between Passive and Active Voice

This is a very basic concept, but it’s important to know when to use which one. Active voice is where you use a verb in the form of a noun. For example, “The dog chased the cat.” Passive voice is where you use a verb in the form of a verb. For example, “The cat was chased by the dog.”

6. Learn to Read Body Language

Many people think that reading body language is an act of divination. However, there are many ways to learn to read body language. The most common way is through the mirror. If you look at yourself in the mirror, you can see how your body language changes depending on the situation. You can also watch people and see how they communicate with their bodies. Thanks for reading!
