Topic: At the Movie Theater

Dialogue 1

Riley: Hi, Heather. So glad you could make it to see the movie with me.
Heather: Me too! I haven’t been to the movies in ages!
Riley: Well, this is a good one to start with. It’s the new action flick that everyone’s talking about. And we’ve got popcorn and soda!
Heather: Yay! You always know just what I like.
Riley: Of course! That’s what friends are for. Let’s head over to our seats.
Heather: Wow, this theater has comfy chairs. Wait…is there already someone sitting here?
Riley: Oh, sorry, my mistake. Just let them know they’re in the wrong seat and use your ticket stub to find the correct place.
Heather: Excuse me, sir? You seem to be in the wrong row. Can I see your ticket, please?
Stranger: Ugh, fine. Here it is.
Heather: Thanks. It looks like you’re supposed to be in row D, seat 9.
Stranger: Whatever, I’ll move.
Riley: Hey, thanks for helping out. That was brave of you to confront him.
Heather: No problem. I’m just happy to enjoy the movie with my favorite human.
Riley: Aww, that’s so sweet. Now sit back and relax. The show’s about to begin.

Dialogue 2

Tom: Hey, what movie do you want to watch?
Emily: I don’t know. What’s good?
Tom: I heard that a new superhero movie should be really cool.
Emily: Yeah? Let’s see that one, then.
Tom: Alright, let’s get some popcorn and soda first.
Emily: Good idea. Large or medium?
Tom: Let’s go for large. You can’t have a movie without snacks!
Emily: Haha, true. Do you want butter on your popcorn?
Tom: Yes, please. And can we grab some napkins too?
Emily: Sure thing. Soda-wise, what do you feel like?
Tom: How about Coke?
Emily: Sounds good. Do you think the line will take long?
Tom: Hopefully not. There are only three people in front of us.
Emily: That’s not too bad. So excited to see this movie!
Tom: Me too. Shall we head inside now?
Emily: Absolutely!
